Privacy Policy

In Xylophane we want you to know and control what data you share with us and what we do with them. This text (called Privacy Policy) explains in simple words and clarity what data we collect and how we use them. Its purpose is to help you decide what data you want to share with us and in what way.

Xylophone & personal data at a glance

We suggest that you read the entire policy, but we summarize the most important points here to help you:

When using Xylophane - even for a simple product search - we receive from you personal information such as the IP address and the type of device you are using without identifying you. In addition, by choosing to create an account with us, you share with us your e-mail address, your mobile number, and a public profile data, such as a user photo. We use this information to secure your account as well as to contact you for matters that concern you.

Xylofan wants to make your online purchases better. We allow you to store in your account products that are of interest to you, you already have them or just bought them through the "smart cart" or from a store that works with us using Xylofan Analytics. We use information from the products you are looking for, viewing and storing to show you results that may be of most interest to you as well as to alert you to opportunities that may interest you.

Xylofan provides the possibility of public communication. Product and store ratings as well as product discussions are public and visible to all Xylofan visitors along with the user name and profile image you have selected. When evaluating a product or store, we may ask you to share a proof of purchase with us in order to verify the purchase, but not to disclose it.

Through your account settings you can choose which data you share with us and manage your preferences about our communication with you and the promotions.

If you wish, you can request to delete your account by sending an e-mail to info@xylofan.com from the email address that is linked to your account.

For any queries or remarks about this policy, please feel free to contact us with an email at info@xylofan.com.

Your username will be displayed throughout your public activity, such as discussions and product and store ratings. We will use your email to contact you and let you receive Xylofan notifications.
